I would ask whether the buffet or à la carte menu is running, request a confirmed window table and time dinner for when the Queen’s Necklace is clearly visible. A lighter vegetarian starter, an Indian main and dessert keep the meal balanced without treating the view as proof that every dish will be exceptional.

How I would choose the right romantic restaurant
I would begin with the moment I want the date to have. For an easy Bandra sunset that can continue into dinner and music, Roofberries is the most flexible choice. AER is for a high-budget rooftop occasion, while Gadda Da Vida gives you a lower, closer beach view in Juhu. Sea Lounge works better for high tea, live music and old-Mumbai elegance than for a late party. If the meal matters most, I would choose The Table and reserve a private two-top. Slink & Bardot is a darker cocktail-led choice for a second or third date, while Gallops offers greenery and a slower lunch. Souk is the formal anniversary option with a Taj setting, and Bayview gives visitors the most recognisable Marine Drive backdrop. I would keep the budget honest too. Roofberries and Gallops sit closer to the accessible end of this list, while AER, Sea Lounge, Souk and formal hotel dining require a much larger spend. Before paying a deposit, I would ask whether the view or outdoor table is guaranteed, whether a minimum spend applies, how long the table is held, what happens if it rains and how loud the music becomes later. For an anniversary, I would also confirm cake, flowers or a small celebration gesture in advance instead of expecting the team to arrange it after arrival. The best romantic restaurant is the one whose pace matches the date, not simply the place with the highest floor or biggest bill. I would also check sunset time before reserving an outdoor table, since the view can change the entire experience even when the menu stays the same.
