Picking a pub in Mumbai can be tricky. Some places are great for craft beer, some work best for a big group, and some are all about the music. These are the pubs I would happily choose again when you want an easy drink, a birthday plan or a proper night out.
1. Mitron , Mumbai branches
Mitron is my top choice for plans that involve good food and a happening vibe. I like that I can choose the branch closest to my plan and still get the lively restaurant-bar feel that makes a night out feel special. It works just as well for a birthday as it does for an unplanned Friday evening with friends.
I would settle in with cocktails, pizza, paneer bruschetta or dimsum, then stay on once the music starts to lift the room. If you are going with a bigger group, booking ahead is a smart move because the evening can get busy. A typical evening is about ₹2,000 for two, and the Bandra venue generally runs from noon until around 1:30 am. I would also confirm the event, cover, table-hold time and smoking arrangement when reserving for a busy weekend.

2. Toit , Lower Parel
Toit is what I choose when the beer is genuinely the point of the plan. The Lower Parel space is big, energetic and easy to enjoy with friends who all want to try something different.
I like starting with a tasting flight so everyone can compare the freshly brewed options. Banger Lager, Tint-In-Wit, Nitro Stout, Basmati Blonde and the Hefeweizen are the kinds of pours that make the menu worth exploring. Add a vegetarian pizza or nachos and you have an easy, relaxed pub evening. Toit opens from noon to around 1 am, and I would budget about ₹2,000 to ₹3,000 for two depending on how many pints the table orders. Beer availability rotates, which is another reason to taste first instead of choosing from memory.
What I loved: The brewed-beer choice and the large room make it feel like a real pub night.
3. Doolally Taproom , Khar
Doolally Taproom in Khar is my pick for a slower pub plan where the conversation matters as much as the drinks. It has a casual, friendly feel, and I never feel rushed to move on.
I would begin with tasters, then choose a beer, cider or mead that suits the mood. Fries, hummus and thecha paneer are easy table orders, while the board games give a group something to do between rounds. The Khar taproom is currently listed at roughly ₹2,000 for two and stays open from around 10 am to 1:30 am. With more than 80 board games mentioned in current listings, it is also one of the easiest daytime or early-evening choices here.
What I loved: You can sit, talk and make an evening of it without the room getting too intense.
4. Woodside Inn , Colaba
Woodside Inn is the place I would suggest when I am in Colaba and want a classic city-pub setting. The wooden interiors and close tables make it feel warm, familiar and a little more intimate than a large bar.
I like keeping the order simple here: a cold beer or cocktail with truffle fries, potato skins, onion rings or a vegetarian pizza. It is a good choice for a long catch-up before you walk around Colaba. Woodside is one of the more premium stops on this list, with a fuller meal for two sometimes reaching about ₹3,500. Weekend tables are worth reserving, and I would confirm the closing time because current listings vary between midnight and 1:30 am.
What I loved: It has that cosy, old-school pub feeling that is hard to replace.
5. The Irish House , Pali Hill, Bandra West
The Irish House at Pali Hill is a dependable choice when my group cannot agree on one kind of night. You can watch a match, catch up over happy-hour drinks or settle into a bigger table without overthinking the plan.
I would pair drinks with pizza, nachos or falafel and stay longer if the conversation is flowing. It is especially useful for a group because everyone can find their own pace here. The Bandra and BKC branches usually run from noon until around 1 or 1:30 am, and the official happy-hour window is commonly 5 to 8 pm. 6. Toto’s Garage , Bandra West
Toto’s Garage is one of my favourite old-school Bandra pubs when I want a night that does not feel overly polished. The garage-style décor, loud music and packed room give it a character that newer places cannot really copy.
I would go for draught beer, cocktails and paneer chilli, then let the rock and retro tracks take over the mood. It is compact, so I would arrive early if you want a comfortable table.
What I loved: It is straightforward, lively and always feels like a proper night out.
7. Bonobo , Bandra West
Bonobo is my music-first pick in Bandra. The terrace setting changes the pace from a regular indoor bar, and the room comes alive when there is a live set or a DJ night.
I would check the event calendar before making the plan, then order cocktails with a spicy burnt-garlic pizza or other sharing plates. Go with people who are happy to talk, listen and stay late.
What I loved: The terrace gives the night a welcome change of scene.
8. The Little Easy , Bandra West
The Little Easy suits those evenings when I want cocktails and conversation first, with a little more energy later on. It feels intimate enough for a weekday catch-up but still works when the group is in the mood to stay out.
I would try a cocktail with vegetarian naan bombs, crostini or dimsum, then see where the evening goes. It is also worth checking what is on that night, especially if you want music or a themed plan.
What I loved: It can begin as an easy catch-up and become a proper night out.
9. The Daily All Day , Bandra West
The Daily All Day is a good answer when you want to start early and let the plan become a bar night naturally. The space is relaxed enough for a long conversation, but it does not feel sleepy once the drinks start arriving.
I would order a cocktail alongside charred broccoli, risotto or pizza and take my time over it. It is the kind of place I would suggest when nobody wants a rushed, loud plan from the start.
What I loved: You can settle in early without feeling like you need to leave quickly.
10. 145 The Mill , Pali Hill, Bandra West
145 is a fun pick when the group wants games, music and a little more movement. I like starting with a round at the pool table before the room gets louder later in the evening.
Cocktails and chilli paneer keep the table sorted, while the playful atmosphere makes it a good choice for birthdays or a larger group. It is easy to see why people stay longer than they planned.
What I loved: The pool table gives the night a fun start before the music takes over.
If I want one all-rounder, I would choose Mitron. For craft beer, Toit is hard to beat. For a slower evening with friends, Doolally is my choice. And when the plan calls for music and a proper Bandra night, Toto’s, Bonobo and 145 are the ones I would keep in mind.
